💥🏥 Saudi strike damages major maternity hospital in Sana’a A Saudi strike near Al-Sab’een Hospital — one of Sana’a’s largest maternity and pediatric facilities — damaged operating rooms, patient wards, the ICU and medical equipment, Press TV reported. Families rushed children out of the hospital fearing further attacks, including patients who were still receiving treatment. 💵 Ukraine’s scam-call industry exposed: 60,000 workers, up to $1 BILLION a month A vast network of fraudulent call centers operating from Ukraine has grown into an industrial-scale business targeting victims across Europe, the US and beyond, NZZ am Sonntag reported. 🌏 Around 60,000 people may work in Ukrainian scam centers — nearly two-thirds of the workforce of the country’s legal banking sector. 🌏 At its peak, the industry may have generated up to $1 billion per month. 🌏 Investigators say some operators paid $10,000–15,000 a month for protection from corrupt officials and law-enforcement contacts. 🌏 Victims have been identified in at least 29 countries. Researchers say Russians accounted for only 10–15% of targets. 🌏 In one Swiss investigation, losses linked to a single platform reached almost 4 million Swiss francs. A former call-center manager described highly organized operations with HR departments, IT specialists, analysts and security teams. He said some centers obtained information on victims’ jobs, incomes and even bank balances from banking insiders. 💸 Victims were reportedly manipulated into taking out loans and even selling cars or apartments. The centers increasingly shifted toward Europe and the US, using fake investments, forex and cryptocurrency schemes.
